After reviewing the comments and opinions received in the course of the consultation, the Austrian regulatory authority has now defined key features for the upcoming frequency assignment procedures and for the liberalisation of existing frequency usage rights on the basis of the relevant provisions of Austrian law. In this context, it is crucial to note that each of these points is subject to the timely availability of terms of use for the frequencies, to the (practical) feasibility of a multi-band auction, and to the approval of the invitation to tender by the Austrian Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology.
