On March 31, the European Commission updated the transparency database for shipping tariffs. This should make prices and services in cross-border mail and parcel delivery more transparent and increase the level of consumer protection.
The prices show the status as of January 1st. The source is reports from postal service providers to the national regulatory authorities. Interested parties can enter both the sender and destination country and receive an overview of the providers, products and prices.
So that the prices are internationally comparable, they are shown without value added tax. As much as possible, the database also indicates product restrictions and conditions. The recommendation, however, is to find out more from the postal service provider of your choice before sending according to your individual needs.
