According to § 16a paragraph 9 TKG 2003 as amended by Federal Law Gazette I No. 23/2020, in agreement with the Federal Minister for Agriculture, Regions and Tourism and the Federal Minister for the Interior, RTR has issued a Telecom Network Security Ordinance (TK-NSiV 2020) on the obligations of operators of electronic communications networks and Providers of electronic communications services in connection with minimum security measures, taking into account 5G networks, and information requirements in the event of security incidents. This ordinance sets out more detailed provisions to ensure network security in the telecommunications sector. At the same time, a large part of the EU catalog of measures to increase cybersecurity in 5G networks will be implemented.
The Telekom Network Security Ordinance 2020 - TK-NSiV 2020 (including the explanatory notes) was published on July 3rd, 2020 in accordance with § 135 Para II No. 301/2020) and came into force on July 4th, 2020.
According to Section 135 (3) TKG 2003, information that the regulatory authority is required to publish under the provisions of the TKG 2003 must also be included on the regulatory authority's website. The TK-NSiV 2020 including annexes and explanatory notes is therefore made available for download below.
