Basic coverage obligations

As part of the coverage obligations of the award of 700/1500/2100 MHz, the operators are obliged to provide basic coverage.

The basic coverage obligations concern those operators that have been granted usage rights in the 700 MHz or 2100 MHz frequency band and depend on the frequency spectrum acquired. These obligations do not have to be fulfilled exclusively with frequencies from this procedure.

The basic coverage obligations concern:

• General population coverage,
• Cities,
• Roads (cat. B and L),
• Motorways and
  
• Railways.
