In addition, Ganymedia Network GmbH also applied for all transmission capacities listed in Annex 1 to the PrTV-G. Pursuant to § 4 KOG, the applications for the issuing of licences for analogue terrestrial television were submitted to the Broadcasting Advisory Board. On 13.11.2001, pursuant to § 4 (7) PrTV-G, KommAustria submitted the applications for the issuing of regional licences for analogue terrestrial television to the respective Provincial Governments for comment. Since § 16 (2) PrTV-G, as mentioned before, explicitly provides for the possibility of applying for regional licences, using the transmission capacities of Annex 1 to the PrTV-G or of the ORF (§ 13 PrTV-G), applicants involved in the procedure for the issuing of licences for regional television will know for sure, only after the licence for nationwide television has been issued with legally binding effect, which transmission capacities will be actually used for nationwide television and which are therefore still available for regional licences. The procedure for the award of licences for regional television was continued in 2002 and concluded in summer 2002. |
