Television film “Trau niemals deiner Frau” – caper film starring famous actors Harald Krassnitzer, Fritz Karl and Lisa Maria Potthoff

The television film “Trau niemals deiner Frau” was supported by the Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA) with EUR 360,000 (19.7% of overall production costs). It was produced for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and ZDF by MONA Film Produktion GmbH. The film’s perceptibility for blind and visually impaired persons was improved by employing audio description, a technique that consists of adding acoustic descriptions of what is happening on the screen.

The idyllic life of Niklas, a guileless jeweller (Harald Krassnitzer) changes abruptly when he finds out that his wife Carolin (Lisa Maria Potthoff) used to be part of a duo of burglars. But instead of handing her and her ex-boyfriend (Fritz Karl), who reappeared unexpectedly, over to the police, Niklas decides to commit an insurance fraud with their help. But before they can reach their goal, the story takes many surprising twists and turns.

The film “Trau niemals deiner Frau”, which was shot in Vienna and surrounding areas, premiered on ORF 2 on 21 November 2012 at 8.15 pm.
