Steiermark 1 on !TV4GRAZ
In creating content for its MHP portal, Steiermark1 focused on show-specific additional information on the debate show „Pro & Contra.“ In addition, the portal provided general information on the broadcaster, its schedule and its employees. For „Pro & Contra,“ viewers were also provided with biographies of each studio guest to accompany the television broadcast as well as further information on each guest‘s arguments. In addition to providing a collection of related WWW links, the Steiermark 1 portal also asked viewers for their personal opinions. Viewers were able to submit their opinions on the current topic via the return channel (p. 80 ff). A cooperation agreement with a local Sunday newspaper enabled ITV viewers to read the local news for the town of Graz in the interactive portal during Steiermark1‘s broadcasting time on Saturday, meaning that they did not have to wait for the print edition.
