The gotv portal includes five main menu items for navigation. Each of these items can have as many as six sub-menus, which can be assigned up to three detail pages. The viewer navigates through the portal using the numbers, arrows, the OK button and the four colored buttons on the television remote.
In order to request videos, participants were required to register directly with Siemens and were given their own user ID and PIN code. This made it possible for multiple members of the same household to submit their individual music requests.
