On the basis of a representative business survey, the Austrian Service Desk for Artificial Intelligence, established at RTR, is investigating the usage of artificial intelligence in human resource (HR) management against the background of the AI Act.
The report provides insights into how companies are using AI in HR to optimise processes (e.g. for the assessment of applicants), what accompanying measures they are already implementing before most of the obligations in the AI Act come into force and what barriers they identify when using AI in HR.
The survey was conducted in German language and the English report is a (non-binding) shortened translation of the German report.
The report (in English), raw data, description of the data and the survey questionnaire (in German) are available below. The data is freely accessible and usable as open data under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence.
The costs incurred by Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH (RTR-GmbH) for carrying out the business survey by phone are announced at EUR 17,720 (net) in accordance with Art. 20 Par. 5 of the Austrian Federal Constitutional Law.
