General Authorisation 2025

Changeover of all communications network- and -service notifications in accordance with Section 6 TKG 2021 – update requirement

Due to changes in the law (TKG 2021) that came into effect in November 2021, every holder of a general licence is required to update their notification, as new service categories have been introduced with the TKG 2021 and different or additional information must be notified in the respective categories.

Explanations and examples for a wide variety of network/service constellations and the associated notification obligations are available here (only german).

The new forms will be available from 26 March 2025 and must be confirmed by the notifying party, even if no factual changes have been made since the last notification/change. In addition, all main users of all general licence holders will be contacted by RTR-GmbH by email to inform them of the update obligation and the procedure for doing so.

Where possible, all previous notifications have been transferred to the new categories so that they can be checked, adjusted and confirmed by the notifying party. This can be done easily via our eRTR portal. The respective categories (forms) that must be updated are also marked accordingly on the overview page in the eRTR portal (eRTR Dashboard=>Telecommunications=>Service Management), see excerpt:

I have logged into the eRTR portal but cannot make any changes to my listing?

Please note that only the main user has all rights and can manage the rights of other persons. During registration, the authorised representative is designated as the main user and can subsequently create (additional) main users or users (including their rights).

The permissions for each individual person can be found in the eRTR portal at the top right under ‘Administration’ => ‘Permissions’ (see also previous FAQ "Berechtigungen").

Only the main user or persons authorised to manage services can therefore make changes to the service notification!
