The 2300 MHz band is designated as a TDD band worldwide for mobile communications (5G in the NR band n40 and 4G in band 40).
The band covers the frequency range 2300–2400 MHz. In Austria, the 2300–2360 MHz sub-band is being awarded for the first time in the ongoing award procedure F 2/24.

The band has been in use in Asia for some time, and is now increasingly being allocated in Europe as well. Due to its use in a large number of countries (e.g., China, India), the band is widely supported by end devices. This band, or parts of it, have also been allocated in several European countries.
