On January 28, 2008, the Telekom-Control Commission ordered Telekom Austria TA AG by way of an official decision in Procedure R 5/07 to reconfigure the digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs) at six locations investigated in the province of Carinthia in such a way that the multiplexers no longer transmit signals in the 138 kHz to 1104 kHz frequency range in order to eliminate the possibility of further interference with broadband connections belonging to customers of alternative operators.
