Television broadcast of "Alles außer Liebe" on 6 December - the Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA) supported the production with EUR 376,000

On Thursday, 6 December 2012, the romantic comedy “Alles außer Liebe” was first broadcast on ORF 2 and ARD, in the stations’ prime-time programme at 8.15 pm respectively. The overall production costs of this feature film produced by MONA Film Produktion GmbH amounted to more than EUR 1.8 million, 20% of which were funded by the Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA).

Idyllic setting at the Lake Wolfgang (Wolfgangsee), Gila von Weiterhausen and Fritz Wepper in the leading roles

The romantic comedy was shot in St. Gilgen and surrounding areas, Salzburg and Vienna (among other places). The main character is Toni, a 60-year-old celebrity doctor and womaniser, played by Fritz Wepper. In order to impress his most recent conquest, 26-year-old Emma, he rents a villa in Salzburg, where the couple plans to spend a romantic holiday. When they arrive, however, they realise that the villa has mistakenly also been rented to Julia, a 59-year-old cookbook author, and her father Arthur, aged 81. Since neither Toni nor Julia accepts to cancel their holiday, they decide to share the villa. Conflicts are inevitable. When Julia’s father Arthur tries to calm the situation by organising a trip, they become witnesses to the accident of a handsome young man named Alexander. Toni succeeds in saving his life at the very last moment. As a thank you, Alexander invites them to his restaurant. Toni soon realises that Emma is conspicuously interested in Alexander. This is a thorn in the side of the old womaniser and he tries to outrival Alexander. After a series of complications, Julia and Toni grow closer. Toni eventually has to decide whether to continue his life with Emma or to give up everything and fight for Julia.
